New telehealth service makes easier connections with regional patients
A hassle-free teleconference service for regional and rural mental health has been set up, inspired by the administrative and technical problems encountered by one Sydney psychiatrist.
Dokotela is a commercial web-based Telehealth platform that brings together regional GPs, their patients and a psychiatrist. The service, which allows patients to have a consult with a psychiatrist either from the GP’s clinic, or the patient’s home, was launched earlier this year by Anita Mustac (pictured), the daughter of Sydney psychiatrist Dr Zelko Mustac.
