New telehealth service makes easier connections with regional patients

A hassle-free teleconference service for regional and rural mental health has been set up, inspired by the administrative and technical problems encountered by one Sydney psychiatrist.

Dokotela is a commercial web-based Telehealth platform that brings together regional GPs, their patients and a psychiatrist. The service, which allows  patients to have a consult with a psychiatrist either from the GP’s clinic, or the patient’s home, was launched earlier this year by Anita Mustac (pictured), the daughter of Sydney psychiatrist Dr Zelko Mustac.

Ms Mustac’s father had been treating regional patients
