New US bowel cleansing guidelines

A US multidisciplinary team has published guidelines for good bowel prep aimed at reducing the chances of missed precancerous lesions and reducing the number of costly repeat colonoscopies.

They say doctors should be aware that there are both medical and non-medical factors that increase the risk of inadequate preparation.
