Nipple-saving mastectomy improves sexual well-being

Preserving the nipple in mastectomy increases the patient’s psychosocial and sexual well-being, according to a US study.

Fifty-two patients who had nipple-saving mastectomies, reported an average score of 83.2 and 65.5 on 0-100 scales for psychosocial and sexual well-being respectively five or more months after surgery.
