There's money and beds to be saved by moving to home-based exercises

Inpatient rehabilitation after a total knee replacement is increasing in private hospitals, despite little evidence it’s any better than community or home-based exercises, researchers say.

While inpatient rehab figures are declining overseas, in Australia the rates are heading in the opposite direction, going from 30% to 45% of private patients, in the analysis of hospital data in the Medical Journal of Australia.
