No link between autism and flu in pregnancy

HAVING the flu in pregnancy is not associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in offspring, but more research is needed on whether flu vaccination in pregnancy might be linked to it, researchers say.

In a study drawing on a database of nearly 200,000 children, the US researchers have found no association between having influenza or fever in pregnancy and ASD in children.
