No need to forego coffee in heart failure

Heart failure patients may not have to give up their lattes just yet, according to a small study from Brazil.

Researchers say their finding that high doses of caffeine do not induce arrhythmias challenge the view that heart disease patients should cut down on the stimulant.

“To date there is no solid evidence to support the common recommendation to limit moderate caffeine consumption in patients at risk for arrhythmias,” they write in JAMA
