Nursing a vaccination obsession
THERE is a saying at the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre in Burnie that if you stand still for long enough, practice nurse Sally Cotterell will vaccinate you.
And it’s not too far from the truth. Sally, who has worked at the centre for four years, will do anything to raise the question of vaccination, both adult and child, with those who walk through the door.
“People come to the centre for a lot more things than health: legal advice, community groups, counselling, youth workers. So, it gives me a lot of scope to get introduced to new people.
