Obese insulin sensitive patients at lower CVD risk

Along with having a lower risk of type 2 diabetes than insulin-resistant people of the same weight, these individuals appear to have greater protection against death from cardiovascular disease. 

Estimates of the proportion of the obese population that fall into this category range from 2% to 30%, depending on the cohorts of people chosen. Additionally, the authors say some of the studies were methodologically flawed, including failing to match BMI and gender.
