OCP with LARCs eases bleeding

While irregular bleeding is one of the most common reasons women cite when seeking early removal of a LARC by their GP, little is known about what causes the phenomenon.

But according to researchers who conducted a study in a small sample of women before and after Depo-Provera treatment, progestins used in LARCs may impair the structure of endometrial vasculature, causing the walls of microvessels to become thinner and be prone to bleeding.
