Oncologist sanctioned for research fraud

A former associate professor of medicine in the USA has been found by the Office of Research integrity (ORI) to have engaged in research misconduct.

The ORI found that Dr Anil Potti of Duke University School of Medicine had stated in a grant application that 6 out of 33 patients had responded positively to a drug (dasatinib) when in fact only four patients had been enrolled in the study, with none responding.
