Oz tops bowel cancer ranks

Australia and New Zealand have the highest rates of colorectal cancer in the world, according to a new report.

Bowel cancer accounted for 13% of cancers and 9.6% of cancer deaths in Australia, figures from the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer showed.

It remained the second most common cancer in Australia and also the second greatest cancer killer, the report said.
