Patients prefer same-day doctor and chemo appointments

Almost all patients prefer to have their chemotherapy and oncologist appointments on the same day, say Australian researchers.

And, if possible, both should take place in the morning, according to their 198-patient study led by Dr Peter Lau from the Royal Perth Hospital.

While many of the patients give convenience as the main reason for the preference, about a quarter say travelling to hospital is an issue.
