Patients with type 1 diabetes want better communication

Results of an online questionnaire completed by 150 patients between 18 and 35 with type 1 diabetes showed that 18% had seen an endocrinologist only, while 22% saw an endocrinologist and a diabetes educator, 10% saw an endocrinologist and a GP, and just 2% saw a team that included an endocrinologist, diabetes educator, dietitian and psychologist/social worker.
