ADVANCES in PET scans may mean the ability to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease could be available in hospitals worldwide within the next year, Australian researchers say.
“Amyloid imaging with PET scans is expected to be widely available soon for clinical practice,” said Professor Christopher Rowe, director of nuclear medicine and neuroscience research at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne.
