Prediabetes linked to low testosterone level

The study in 1300 men showed those with prediabetes were 87% more likely, and those with type 2 diabetes more than twice as likely, to have low total testosterone than men with normal glucose levels.

Adjusting for metabolic syndrome, defined as three of high waist circumference, triglycerides, blood pressure or cholesterol, brought the increased odds of low testosterone in prediabetes and type 2 diabetes to 50%.
