Pregnancy Pap smear queried

In Australia, the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP) says a Pap smear should be offered to every woman receiving antenatal care who has not had cervical screening within the past two years. 

The RCOG said it was not unusual for pregnant women to be contacted for routine screening during pregnancy. “Women should let their GP know they are delaying so they can be invited again.” However those recalled for a repeat smear following a previous abnormality should still have the test,
