Prostate cancer therapy linked to Alzheimer's

MEN taking a prostate cancer treatment known as androgen deprivation therapy may be almost twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease as those not taking it, a study has found.

While the research in the 7 December issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology stops short of showing a definitive cause and effect between ADT and Alzheimer’s, scientists say the association raises concern and merits further study.
