Q&A: Professor Robert Ouvrier, pioneering neurologist

Emeritus Professor Robert Ouvrier, who has been appointed Companion of the Order of Australia in this year’s Australia Day Honours, is an internationally renowned expert in paediatric peripheral neuropathies.

Professor Ouvrier was the Head of the Institute for Neuroscience and Muscle Research at Westmead Hospital from its inception until he stepped down from the role in 2008.  He continues to be involved in the INMR as a researcher and as Head of the Peripheral Nerve Clinics.
