POLL: Do you support the AMA’s call to raise the legal drinking age in Australia?
AMA president Dr Steve Hambleton was reported as saying it was time for Australia to have a discussion about changing the legal drinking age because the brain did not stop developing until 25.
A poll on the AMA website currently has 54% of people in favour of raising the legal drinking age in Australia.
