Rheumatologist to head new medical school

Top arthritis researcher Professor Patrick McNeil has been appointed as the inaugural Executive Dean of Medicine in the new Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University.

The rheumatologist has spent 21 years as a clinical academic, combining research, clinical practice and teaching medical students at the University of New South Wales.

He is currently the Executive Clinical Director at Liverpool Hospital.
