Rheumatologists flunk cannabis test

Canadian rheumatologists are unlikely to prescribe cannabinoids to treat arthritis pain, although they have had the legal right to do so for more than a decade.

A survey of 128 rheumatologists shows more than three quarters lack confidence in their knowledge of cannabinoid molecules.

And more than 90% said they did not know enough about dosage, frequency and method of administration to write a prescription for herbal cannabis.
