Rheumatologists underestimate OA severity

People with osteoarthritis are more likely to have their condition underestimated by their rheumatologist than those with rheumatoid arthritis, according to a US study.

The research questions whether OA really is a less severe problem than RA, as is generally supposed.
The researchers from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago looked at patient/doctor discordance in over 450 people with OA or RA.
