Rheumatology pearls from Paris
As the doors of EULAR 2014 opened I half expected the halls to be empty, after all this is Paris in the summer. But it seems rheumatology was not be distracted by clear blue skies, great food, and sightseeing, as #EULAR2014 proved to be the most popular to date.
Addressing the conference EULAR President Professor M. Cutolo said there were a record 14,200 participants from 130 countries and 4,041 abstracts submitted.
Overarching themes this year were the use of imaging in rheumatic diseases, as well as the rise of biomarkers and genotyping to predict disease outcomes and even response to treatment.
