Salt linked to disease activity in MS

Multiple sclerosis patients with a high sodium intake have a significantly higher exacerbation rate compared with those with a low intake, according to Argentinian research.

The study looked at two-year disease activity in 122 relapsing-remitting MS patients whose salt intake had been estimated from sodium excretion in urine samples.
