Should breast cancer survivors take RA drugs?

Women with treated breast cancer can safely take immunosuppressive drugs for rheumatoid arthritis, say the authors of a retrospective study.

The risk of cancer metastasis after treated breast cancer is no higher in women prescribed methotrexate or anti-TNF therapy for RA or inflammatory bowel disease than for women with these conditions who do not take the drugs, the US analysis shows.
