Should men be screened for low testosterone?

Testosterone levels predict risk of type 2 diabetes in men independent of current risk assessment models, Australian researchers have found.

Their study of over 1500 Adelaide men aged 35-80 without baseline diabetes found low serum testosterone (<16nmol/L) was relatively common, occurring in around 43% of participants.
