SSRIs and stillbirth

After adjusting for confounding factors, the researchers found no statistically significant association between the use of SSRIs during pregnancy and the risk of stillbirth, neonatal mortality, or postneonatal mortality.

However, they conclude that “decisions about use of SSRIs during pregnancy must take into account other perinatal outcomes and the risks associated with maternal mental illness”.
