Stroke not prevented by vitamin C and E supplements

Professor Graeme Hankey, consultant neurologist and head of the stroke unit at the Royal Perth Hospital, said there was sufficient evidence from meta-analyses of large randomised controlled trials (RCTs) to reliably conclude that dietary supplementation with beta-carotene, vitamin C or vitamin E does not prevent stroke.
