Study refutes pancreatic cancer link to red meat consumption

The authors examined the association in 477,202 participants from 10 European countries, recruited between 1992 and 2000.

Eating red meat and processed meat was not associated with an increased pancreatic cancer risk.

“Our results do not support the conclusion of the World Cancer Research Fund that red or processed meat consumption may possibly increase risk of pancreatic cancer,” the authors said.
