Subway or McDonald’s? It’s the same calories

The researchers got 97 adolescents living in Los Angeles to buy meals from each restaurant on different days and found that they purchased 1038 calories from McDonald’s and 955 calories from Subway, a difference that was not statistically different.

More calories were purchased as main meals at Subway than McDonald’s, but calories in drinks and side dishes were higher in the McDonald’s meals. There was no significant difference between the restaurant meals in fat, around 45g, or saturated fat, around 13g.
