Tai chi effective for improving fitness of patients with COPD

Researchers from the Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Sydney, and the University of Sydney, studied 42 patients with COPD. Half the group attended
tai chi lessons twice a week, while the other half followed their usual medical management.

The tai chi group could walk for significantly longer periods in a walking test and reported better quality of life after 12 weeks.
