Tai Chi offers CVD benefits

Advising patients with CVD to take up Chinese exercises like Tai Chi will likely lower their blood pressure and provide other benefits, a study suggests.

The meta-analysis of 35 randomised controlled trials (RCTs) of patients with cardiovascular disease produced systolic and diastolic blood pressure reductions of 9 and 5mmHg respectively, compared with control groups of either no exercise, usual care, or other forms of exercise.
