Teens at risk after parent suicide attempt

Researchers found that short-term risk was high, particularly if it was the mother who had attempted suicide or been admitted to a psychiatric hospital for a psychiatric disorder. Suicide risk was higher in daughters than in sons, and was higher in the teenagers compared to those in their 20s or older.
