Tight skirt a breast cancer flag

A UK study of more than 100,000 postmenopausal women has linked ballooning central obesity over a lifetime with an increased risk of breast cancer, independent of BMI.

The first study to use increasing skirt size as a proxy for central obesity found that breast cancer risk was increased by 33% for every rise in skirt size per decade.

The study involved women older than 50 from England, Wales and Ireland who self-reported current skirt size and the size they wore in their 20s.
