True antidepressant harm to kids being hidden, say researchers

WEASEL words and unpublished data are hiding the extent of antidepressant harms to children and adolescents, including a likely doubling of aggression and suicidality, researchers suggest.

Reviewing 64,000 pages of clinical study reports underpinning licensing of SSRIs and SNRIs in Europe and the UK, researchers say even this is a likely underestimate given the patchy data made available to them.
