Upskilling training available in allergy management and diagnosis

“It is essential that health professionals such as dieticians, general practitioners and paediatricians are able to provide adequate management of patients with food allergy, particularly those at risk of anaphylaxis before they see a specialist,” ASCIA chair Associate Professor Richard Loh said.

ASCIA has developed a free 1.5-hour online training course that covers IgE-mediated food allergy, diagnosis and management of allergy, breastfeeding and milk options for IgE-mediated allergy, and food selection and preparation for individuals with allergy.
