Variety of AEDs better in seizure therapy

Seizure drug combinations are more effective when the drugs used have different mechanisms of action, US researchers say.

Their study, the first of its kind, looked at over 8,600 epilepsy patients who were resistant to monotherapy and had been prescribed two different antiepileptic drugs.
