WA epilepsy patients wait 18 months for EEGs

West Australian epilepsy patients are waiting between a year and 18 months for crucial brain tests that ensure they are properly treated.

Just three beds are available for EEG monitoring because of a lack of specialist staff in WA.

WA woman Denise Makley has been unable to get a proper diagnosis of her 20-year-old daughter Jesse's epilepsy and has been on a waiting list for an EEG since October.
