When a cardiologist has a heart attack
Although Auckland-based cardiologist Professor Rob Doughty has spent his career looking after patients with myocardial infarction, he was hardly expecting to experience one first-hand.
“It took me completely by surprise. I’d had no past history, no symptoms before, and I thought I was reasonably fit and healthy,” the 51-year-old told New Zealand’s One News.
