Which GLP-1 agonist?

Once daily liraglutide 1.2mg is more effective that twice daily exenatide 10µg in reducing HbA1C in type 2 patients, an Australian meta-analysis shows.

While there have been no head-to-head trials of the two GLP-1 agonists at the currently recommended dosage, analysis of placebo-controlled studies of the individual drugs allows an indirect comparison, say the researchers led by Professor Stephen Twigg, head of the department of endocrinology at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
