IF A PATIENT has a disease they get treated, right?

What about if they only nearly have a disease? These days they get treated for that too.

According to a Scandinavian specialist who is passionate about this subject, being at ‘high risk’ of having a disease has itself become a new disease.

Professor Teppo Järvinen, from the University of Helsinki, writes in an editorial in the British Journal of Sports Medicine that otherwise healthy people are being turned into patients because they are deemed to have ‘high’
