Yoga beats aerobic exercise in OA

Yoga is more effective than aerobic exercise or education for managing knee OA, a small trial has found.

Around 83 patients randomised to an eight-week hatha yoga program had greater improvements in pain and self-reported function, lower anxiety levels and less fear of falling compared with those participating in aerobic exercise or education classes.

The yoga program involved eight weekly 45-minute group classes and up to four days of home practice. &nbsp
