Yoga regulates stress hormones in breast cancer

Breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy have lower levels of cortisol and report less fatigue if they practise yoga, according to new US research published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

Nearly 200 women with stage 0-3 breast cancer were randomised to either yoga or simple stretching three times a week for six weeks during radiotherapy, or to a waitlist control group.
