One hundred people a day are being cured of hepatitis C infection in Australia. This was just one of the many amazing facts presented at the 10th Australasian Conference of Viral Hepatitis over the October long weekend.

While most Australians were glued to their TVs watching football, the 500 delegates at the conference were discussing the revolution in hepatitis C treatment that arrived on 1 March 2016 with the listing of direct-acting antiviral (DAA)
