The use of novel stents is seeing improved outcomes for those suffering from chronic rhinosinusitis.

Rhinosinusitis is a common inflammatory condition affecting the mucosa of the paranasal sinuses.
Patients have symptoms of nasal blockage, discharge, facial pressure and reduction of smell. There are endoscopic signs of nasal polyps or mucopurulent discharge from the sinuses, and/or CT changes in the paranasal sinuses.1
It is classified as chronic if the symptoms last longer than 12 weeks without resolution.
