New therapeutic options are available for women with problematic fibroids.
Leiomyomas of the uterus, more commonly known as fibroids, are benign tumours of the smooth muscle and connective tissues of the uterus.
They are common, with a lifetime incidence in Caucasian women of about 60-70%.1
