Prescribing for senior travellers
With more people travelling in their retirement, what specific medication advice do they require?
3rd October 2017
As more older people and those with chronic conditions are travelling, GPs increasingly need to provide advice on travelling with medicines

Taking medicines while travelling is common — a US survey of more than 13,000 travellers found 58% were taking daily medication.1
There is also a need for advice on medicines needed specifically for travel, such as anti-malarials, and on the risks of purchasing drugs overseas, given the increasing problem of substandard and counterfeit medicines.2
