Toxic epidermal necrolysis is a rare but potentially life-threatening condition.

Extensive, sheet-like skin erosions with widespread erythematous macules typical of toxic epidermal necrolysis
It is characterised by the sudden onset of extensive, sheet-like skin erosions with widespread purpuric macules or flat atypical target lesions.
These are accompanied by severe mucosal involvement
