It’s been dubbed “the biggest breakthrough for women’s sexual health since the pill” - but surely that’s taking things a bit too far.
Flibanserin, which falls under the unpronounceable brand name, Addyi, is the first drug approved by the FDA for “hypoactive sexual desire disorder”, a psychiatric condition - albeit a controversial one - marked by a lack of desire for sex over a prolonged period.
