Why obstetrics is not for the faint-hearted
I have just spent the afternoon tying knots. Not just any knot, mind you – this is a single hand double phase knot for sewing up perineums (or is it perinea?).
My husband arrived home to find the kitchen adorned with my mother-in-law’s wool castoffs tied in ornate knots, not unlike a scene from the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Knowing my ineptitude in tying my fishing hooks on lines he suspected a new penchant for S and M.
